Basic Volleyball - Free Online Program for Kids
Moms and dads, let the BEST Center challenge your kids in learning volleyball basics through this FREE 4-week volleyball program. This program is designed to be engaging and educational, ensuring that your children develop essential skills while having fun.
WEEK 1
BASIC DEFENSIVE STANCE
Dive into the fundamentals of volleyball! Learn proper stretching, warm-ups, and defensive receiving stances through this program. This week of the volleyball program, we'll teach kids Ball Squats, One-hand Control, and Receiving Stance. These exercises are crucial for building a strong foundation in volleyball.
WEEK 2
BASIC BALL CONTROL
Time to learn more about the basics of ball control! Know more warm-ups such as Leg Raises and Side Lunges before you progress into Continuous Digging. Mastering ball control is essential for every aspiring volleyball player, and this week will focus on enhancing coordination and precision.
WEEK 3
TESTING OF HITTING POWER
This week emphasizes the importance of hitting power and accuracy. Participants will engage in various drills that improve their striking technique. Warm-ups will include Leg Raises and Side Lunges again, followed by exercises that focus on developing strength and timing in their hits.
WEEK 4
BASIC USING THE WALL OR WITH PARTNER
Kids can put all that they've learned in the volleyball program into practice by properly digging and passing the ball. They can strengthen their stamina through Burpees and Calf Stretches, and learn how to properly Dig and Pass Forward. This final week will culminate in fun challenges that encourage teamwork and application of skills learned throughout the program.
