MILO Taekwondo Basic Blocks, Stances & Kicks for Kids
Join the Philippine Taekwondo Association in teaching your kids the fundamentals of taekwondo through this FREE 4-week program designed to instill discipline, confidence, and physical fitness. This program is perfect for children of all skill levels, providing them with an opportunity to learn essential taekwondo techniques while having fun.
WEEK 1
BASIC TAEKWONDO 101
We kick off Week 1 by focusing on the foundational aspects of taekwondo. Participants will learn the Basic Stance, which serves as the starting point for many movements, and the Forward Stance, essential for advancing in techniques. The week will also cover the Middle Punch, a fundamental striking technique that teaches kids the importance of precision and power in their movements.
WEEK 2
BASIC TAEKWONDO BLOCKS
In Week 2, the focus shifts to defensive techniques, emphasizing the importance of learning good defense alongside offensive skills. Children will practice Upper and Downward Blocks, which are crucial for protecting themselves during sparring and understanding the dynamics of defensive strategies.
WEEK 3
BLOCKS AND STANCES
During Week 3, participants will learn additional stances and blocks, including the Back Stance, Double Knife Hand Block, and Double Hand Block. These techniques will further enhance their defensive skills and prepare them for more complex movements.
WEEK 4
BACK KICKS
Finally, in Week 4, kids will learn essential kicks to kickstart their offensive skills. They will practice the Stretch Kick, Front Kick, and In-Out Kick, allowing them to apply their techniques in a dynamic way. This comprehensive program aims to build a solid foundation in taekwondo while encouraging physical activity and teamwork among participants.
